School Of the Osage Supports Hope House

Again, this year, Osage Middle School Student Council & Builder’s Club held a food drive for us. In all they collected 2,400 non-perishable food items. We truly appreciate all the hard work they put in so that the families who come to Hope House have plenty of food, especially for the holidays.

Mid America Bank, Osage Beach, Coat Drive
Hope House received 5 very large bags of coats from a coat drive held by Mid America Bank. We are so thankful that they chose us for this wonderful donation. We not only received children’s coats but a large assortment of adult coats. All these coats were displayed in our Food Pantry registration area and they went immediately. We always think of the younger children who need a coat but their parents also are in need, and thanks to Mid America, so many of them will be warm this winter.

Heritage Elementary Supports Hope House
Heritage Elementary, Grades K through 2nd grade, held a food drive for us this year. They brought us 3 vehicles full of non-perishable food items. We are very grateful for their support, and, thanks to them, we will have plenty of food to distribute in December. They not only brought us food but they decorated grocery bags which we use at our register in the Thrift Store but also in our Food Pantry.

Ozark Coast Kiwanis Club Donation
Hope House would like to thank the Kiwanis Club of Ozark Coast for their very generous donation of $2,150. They continue to support us each year and we are very grateful for their support. This donation will be used to purchase food for our pantry which we give to our families who are in need of food.

Big Bass Bash
We want to thank the sponsors of the Big Bass bash for asking Hope House to once again bring our truck to collect non-perishable food items. We not only sell raffle tickets, but for every four food items that are brought in the person receives one raffle ticket. At the end of the event whoever has the winning ticket receives $2,500. In October we received a total of $2,667 in cash and we filled our truck one-fourth full of food.
The Big Bass Bash has been a wonderful supporter of Hope House and we are grateful that they continue to ask us to come back each spring and fall.

Ameren Missouri Donation
Hope House of Miller County received a very generous donation from Ameren Missouri. They have been a supporter of Hope House for many years. Their donation will be used to purchase food and toiletries which we give to our families each month.

Lake of the Ozarks Rotary International
Daybreak Rotary has once again presented Hope House with a wonderful donation of $2,500 to be used to purchase coats. During the month of October, all of our clients’ children under the age of 18 receive a coat to get them through the winter. Their support is truly appreciated. The Rotary does so much for this community and we are grateful they continue to support Hope House.

Ann B. Zekauskas Family Foundation
Hope House would like to thank this foundation for their continued support. One of their missions is to fight food insecurity so that no one goes hungry. They do this by supporting food banks, neighborhood kitchens and other hunger relief organizations. Their wonderful donation will be used to purchase food for our pantry so everyone goes home with enough food to feed their family.
